CBC's Hockey Anthem Challenge launches on Filemobile's Media Factory platform

Toronto, Canada, July 11, 2008 -- Filemobile was chosen by CBC to create and launch the CBC Hockey Anthem Challenge.

The CBC Hockey Anthem Challenge contest is searching for a song to replace the long-standing Hockey Night in Canada theme. Filemobile has built this on top of its Media Factory platform allowing for an easy customizable contest experience. Users are able to upload their songs or videos, and the audience can vote, rate, digg, comment, and share these songs on popular social networks. All of the media assets are organized into saved searches such as most viewed, most commented, and highest rated for easy discovery.

CBC producers are also featuring popular songs, like this posting by famous Canadian Randy Bachman.

The contest wraps up in September and the new hockey anthem will be unveiled on Hockey Night in Canada in October.
