Toronto, Ontario - Pixel Pusher and YTV teamed up to deliver the Virtual Next Star Contest. This contest now in it's second year is an online companion to the popular kids TV show: The Next Star. The Kids get to choose from a song list and they get to record their song live into a webcam. The videos go into the Virtual Next Star website where they are featured alongside all the other contestants. The talent in the community is amazing. Check out last years winner Noelle who sang: "If I ain't got you".

All the contestants have until August 9th to get their entries in before the judging rounds take place. We are already ten weeks into the contest and there are six week remaining. The first ten have been chosen and they range in age from 12-15 from across Canada.

Agency Pixel Pusher produced the website experience and used Filemobile's API's, Video and Webcam widgets to record and display the video content.

Check back on September 8th, 2010 when the winner of the Virtual Nextstar contest is chosen.
